works well, though not with a touchstone

The Pre has no proximity sensor that Im aware of, just an accelerometer for positioning. I have enjoyed the case though Ive found that its not designed for the Touchstone back-plate, so the back of the case does not fit as snugly as I would like. It still fits and stays on. I can charge using my Touchstone and have found I have better luck with the keyboard open than closed. That said, I most usually take the back-case off to charge. 4 stars out of 5.
TOUCHSTONE OWNERS – Read this review

The naked case is almost perfect. It adds a little bulk to the phone, but I don’t really care about that (knew it when I bought it). It protects the screen and I don’t notice any residual effects in the touch interface. When talking on the phone, the proximity sensor seems to work just fine, so no complaint there.
When putting on the case everything went fine until I tried adding the back cover. The touchstone back is slightly thicker, meaning the back cover won’t attach. I was able to have it latch in four out of five places, but in one corner the cover just left hanging. It looks funny, but I guess it’s not going to fall off (maybe just forget about the back piece and live without it). Also, the top piece is thick enough that it might hamper one’s typing. The top row of keys is pretty crowded already, and the lip hanging over doesn’t help. My fingers are pretty skinny, so it might be something worth considering if you already have a hard time with the top row.
Ultimately, it’s up to you as to whether or not it’s worth the trade off. I love the fact that it protects my screen better than anything else so far, but I’m bummed about the back piece not fitting properly (Barely at all). If you dont have the touchstone, its a must buy. I say it’s worth it, even if it doesnt attach to the back.

As I have seen in the other posts the Touchstone does not fit the back. Oh well. I need protection though so I am willing to let that go. Since it is sold out here on PreCentral, I went to the CaseMate site and bought it from there. I paid like $29.00 then the price drops a WHOPPING $20. I emailed them and told them I was feeling a little bit unloved because it went on sale literally hours after I bought it. Guess what? They returned $20 to my account. Ok, that is COOL. I will buy much more from them in the future. The screen works great through the plastic and although I still have this "wet mark" in the middle, I am willing to put up with it since I paid so little. and Yes I tried the alcohol pad .... ya da yada

Proximity Sensor doesnt work on calls
Case is bulkier than the Seidio case that I recently purchased. I was looking for a case that allowed me to protect the touchscreen while allowing me to use it. Received the case yesterday and all seemed to be going well until I received a call. Once it was time for the call to end, the proximity sensor didnt detect that I no longer had the phone up to my ear, I had to reset the phone in order to get it to hang up and the screen to light back up. Since I am not a big fan of ear pieces, I have no use for this case.
