Perfect
User: R Wilson, Aug 9, 2009
The case went on relatively easy, and came with directions, unlike an earlier case I tried out. It looks & feels great. Couldnt be happier.
Fantastic
User: Philip Glod, Aug 10, 2009
Pros: Great fit, great grip, great look, works with touchstone, available belt holster
Cons: Touchstone no longer locks to pre, unable to use in car but works fine on desk and stationary uses
I dont know if these guys are using a different product than i got, Mine secures tightly like a glove, does not wiggle or come off, it does not look cheap, in fact id say the black version i have makes my Pre look more professional at work. I dont think I am ever taking this case off.
Perfect!
User: K P, Aug 12, 2009
Unbelievably fast delivery. Very professional paperwork and process. Snapped on very easily and fits extremely well. Perfect, in fact. I had ordered a different kind of silicone skin/cover that wouldnt even stay on long enough to open and close the phone 1x. I guess you get what you pay for... and this was definitely worth the money.
Perfect Case for Pre
User: Art Ram, Aug 13, 2009
Pros: the look, the feel and the fit
Cons: none so far
I just received my case today and its great. The look, the feel, and the fit are all good. So far ive been using it non stop testing the top half of case and its still firmly in place without popping off. IMO I think this case actually made the phone feel more secure.
Great Case. Make Pre look and feel better.
User: Chad Glinsky, Aug 17, 2009
Pros: Feels soft and not slippery. Fits like a glove.
Cons: Scratches easily. Plus adds another a couple mms to the overall size of the phone (which is kind of bulky in the first place)
This case snapped right onto my Pre perfectly, no problems what-so-ever. I really like the feel of the case. It is smooth yet soft feeling at the same time.

It does a great job at protecting the Pre, as it is suppose to. It does make the Pre feel a little more sturdy. I know many people wonder about this since the oreo twist problem seems to be extremely common (as my phone has it too). This case does NOT eliminate of the twist problem, BUT it does make it less noticeable.

One con I would say thus far is that the case seems to scratch somewhat easily, but thats what you can expect with a softer material like this. Another con is that it obviously adds 1-2mm of thickness all around the Pre, which is already not a very slim phone.

Overall, definitely recommend this case if youre looking to protect your Pre and make it feel sturdier.
best one Ive owned so far
User: Mike L, Aug 20, 2009
Pros: very thin makes buttons easy to push
Cons: Needs to be more rubberized
This case is by far the best of 3 that I have tried so far. Other cases were thicker and made pushing the volume buttons difficult. It is also much easier to slide the phone open while plugged in. Other cases would catch on the charger plug and make opening difficult.

I wish it had a more rubberized texture. It has a good feel but still not as grippy as silicone type cases for other phones.
STURDY!
User: Marcel Esguerra, Aug 20, 2009
Pros: Sturdy, No awkwardness with the slider keyboard, Works with Touchstone
Cons: Wish the burgundy was more of a regular red
Bought this product for my wifes Pre and it was super easy to install. My only concern prior to purchase is if it was going to work with the touchstone and if it was going to be an awkward fit. Glad to say my concerns were dismissed once I received it. Highly recommend.
The Only Case for the Pre
User: Howard Kreger, Aug 24, 2009
Pros: Works with Touchstone, Hoslter Available
Cons: None so far!
I have had Sena Leatherskin cases for my past phones (TREO 650 and BBCurve). Disappointed that Sena made no similar case for the PRE.

This is the only case that clips to your belt (with holster) and stays on the phone for protection at all times.

It also works well with the Touchstone, making it perfect.

I hear that it will slip off a Touchstone car kit, so beware.

I picked mine up on EBAY at a discount, with lightening shipping!
Much better fit than cheaper cases, works with Touchstone
User: Aaron Trieu, Aug 28, 2009
I initially bought an $8 case from Amazon but decided after a week Id rather carry the phone without a case because of the added weight and difficulty getting the case out of my pocket (the edges stuck out a little bit on the front). Also, the front of this other case slightly covered the gesture area on the sides, and kept coming off when I slid the Pre open.

Then my friend had me try the Seidio Innocase Surface and I was amazed at how much more closely this case fits! It goes in and out of my pocket pretty much the same as if there were no cover at all, doesnt cover any part of the screen or gesture area, and I love that it works with the Touchstone. Totally worth it!
Love this case
User: Julie Macholz, Sep 4, 2009
Pros: Adds very little bulk, feels great, fits well
Cons: -
This case is very well made. My daughter loves her pink one. I got the burgundy. Its a lot darker than it looks in the picture, but I like it. Havent got a touchstone yet. Hope it works with one.
Sleek case and DOES work with Touchstone!
User: Scott M., Sep 10, 2009
Pros: Works with Touchstone, easy to put on, even over Invisishield
Cons: None thus far
I have read other reviews saying that there are problems using this case with the Touchstone. Actually, when I first installed this case on my Pre and tried it with the Touchstone, it would do the charge/no charge dance. Then I realized that there was one tab on the back that was not completely seated on the phone. Once ALL the tabs were properly snapped into place, it works perfectly with the Touchstone. You do have to get it placed just right on the Touchstone for it to charge, but it does work.
Also, I have the Invisishield on the touch screen of my Pre, and getting the front case to install on the phone was a little tough, but it did go on over it. I got this as part of the case/holster bundle and am very happy with the value of this product.
BEST CASE EVER FOR PRE!!!!
User: Jason Escobar, Sep 24, 2009
Pros: SLIM GOOD GRIP EASY TO INSTALL!
Cons: NOTHING!
my girlfriend bought me this case as a surprise and i was blown away, when it comes to cases im very picky but with this case i fell in LOVE! this case absolutely amazing! i love it and i would recomend it to anyone! get this case you wont be sorry!
Perfect FIT!
User: Evelyn Lune, Oct 16, 2009
Case fit easily and perfectly!!! Its definitely less bulky than the other cheaper cases so thats a plus. I definitely recommend this case! I ordered the Blue case- the Blue is actually a little darker than in the picture.
Protected
User: H P, Oct 29, 2009
Pros: Slim, not bulky, easy to grip
Cons: none as of yet
Just received the Innocase for my palm pre. Hopefully Ill never have to test its durability but I think it should protect my phone pretty well. Easy access to all ports. I also bought a Golla Bag for extra protection when its in my purse. The fit with the Innocase is a little snug but its no big deal.
Perfect case!
User: C M, Nov 5, 2009
Pros: No bulk
Cons: Doesnt always work great with Touchstone
My husband and I both have a Palm Pre. This is a fantastic case. Goes on super easy and stays on. It really becomes part of the phone and you dont even notice you have it on except that you have better grip now. Only con is that my Pre doesnt always charge on the Touchstone. It will sit there and alert me that its charging over and over and over again...usually around 2am. However, my husband hasnt had any problems at all with his Touchstone at work or at home.
great fit
User: Ryan Angel, Nov 13, 2009
Pros: fits perfect, goes on easy
Cons: none
I have never bought a product I actually have taken the time to review, but I really liked how well this case fits the phone and would recommend it to anyone. Pair it up with the Seidio Innocase Holster for a great combo!!
Brilliant!
User: Don Wood, Nov 23, 2009
Pros: Easy to install
Cons: Loose the sleek shine
The case was super easy to attach and fits perfectly. I like the feel of the case. It is very thin so I dont know how much protection it really adds, but definitely more than without!
Just what I was looking for
User: Brenda S, Dec 2, 2009
Pros: Protects case & can use Touchstone
Cons: Top case keeps coming "unclicked"
Love this! Was afraid the pink would be too pink but really like the subdued rose color. Definitely makes the phone less slick - so it stays in my hand and purse pouch (it used to start to slip out of both).
Great Case
User: Brenda S, Jan 3, 2010
Pros: Good grip surface, Protective
Cons: Different colors, have to trim screen protector
Love this case!! Just wish it came in green or orange or designs, Needed to trim the screen saver to have the top case stop popping off, Otherwise, just wonderful. It makes the phone not as slick and much easier to hold on to.
Excellent case
User: James Reed, Jan 13, 2010
Pros: Fits perfectly, easy to install, improves overall appearance of phone
Cons: Renders my hip case useless (wont fit)
Aside from the fact that my Pre no longer fits in the pocket case that I have been using since the day I bought it, this is BY FAR the best accessory that I have purchased to date.

It is extremely easy to install (snap/snap/done) and very well constructed.

The best compliment I can give this item is that it actually improves my overall opinion of the Pre itself. I love the phone but have always thought it has a somewhat "girly" form factor. This makes the phone look more rugged.

I strongly recommend this case.
Easy and effective
User: Ryan S, Jan 16, 2010
Just got this case a couple days ago and it is perfect. It has none of the difficulties that Ive seen written about other hard cases no seperation, no impact on sliding, no interference with device function. It works flawlessly with the Touchstone. Its a little more expensive than some, but it seems to be well worth the price.
nice case BUT !!!
User: Steve Cea, Aug 21, 2009
Pros: Fits very well, looks great , ir does work fine with the touchstone , feels great in the hand
Cons: price wise this is a ripoff !! Way to expensive for a flimsy piece of plastic ? and with shipping a whopping $35.90 !!! That is just insane
great case , fits great, looks great but very over priced for what you get !!! Should be price at $19.99 with free shipping , $35.90 shipped is ridiculous ???
A Great Fit
User: William Weis, Aug 27, 2009
Only 2 relatively minor thing stopped me from giving 5 stars.
1. Does not stay on the Touchstone well. You have to line it up perfectly. I can live with that.

2. The opening on the USB jack is a bit snug. I may have to trim it a little.

Those aside, I would buy it again.

Good Case
User: Doug Lade, Sep 2, 2009
Pros: Makes it easier to hold and not as slick.
Cons: Non yet
The case seems to make it easier to hold on to and less likely to drop it. I just received it and need to give it some time for a valuation but so far I like it. I also like how it make it a little thicker and I like that too.
Palm Pre - Seidio Case
User: Katie Worden, Sep 9, 2009
Absolutely love this case. I have gone the "cheap" route of getting a few on eBay. Wrong move. Dont do it either! I had a few of the plastic cases that are supposed to go right over the phone like the Seidio case does. It kept breaking (the plastic piece) or it would not stay on tight. It also would have issues with using the phone and the touch screen. So I went through 3 of those and I bought this Seidio one a few weeks back and love it! At first it was hard for me to get the top piece on to "click" in. But once it was on, never a dull moment in sliding off, coming off, using the phone with the touchscreen, or charging and using the phone. It is a a great rubbery feel and it makes the phone look "cute" too. Other than that no complaints besides trying to get the front part on at first. Tip: Put the front on first before putting the back on, thats what I did and it worked fine and was easy to put on too. Go buy one it is definitely worth the $30!!
Great except for a "little" problem
User: J K C, Sep 24, 2009
Pros: Great surface, great look
Cons: the weak little tabs that hold the case to your phone
So Ive had this case for about a month, and last night it fell from the couch to the rug/hardwood floor. Not much of a fall, but it was enough for one of the little tabs that holds the case to the phone to snap. If Seidio refuses to replace my case, Ill cry for a little bit, then probably by the same case again.
works great!
User: Brad Smith, Oct 28, 2009
Pros: fits great, easy to put on, better grip
Cons: screen feels almost naked and underprotected
This product fits great, it was easy to put on, and I am extremely happy. The phone then fits into hand and pocket better and is less likely to slip/fall. Only downside is the fantastic protection everywhere else makes the screen feel naked and underprotected, but I think it is fine. Just makes wiping smudges a little different.
Too expensive for how long it last
User: Michael Linder, Nov 18, 2009
Pros: Looks/feels great, customer service sent free replacement
Cons: too expensive for its lack of durability
I had my first one for about 3 months when one of the tabs on the top piece broke off. I emailed precentral, who sent me to seidio.

Seidio sent me out a completely free replacement, immediately, without any questions or having to return broken case.

I really like this case but agree with everyone that for the price it should last a lot longer. I am glad they replaced it for free, but I dont know if they will again when it inevitably breaks in a few months. Definetely wont purchase a new one.
Probably the best case out there, but still dont like it.
User: Drew Kora, Nov 19, 2009
Pros: Fits perfect, looks really nice.
Cons: As thin as it is, it still adds too much bulk for me.
Like most others say, its a great case that fits really well and has a really nice feel. And yet, after a week, I had to take it off. It was just too bulky for me. Dont get me wrong, its a really thin case and looks really nice on the Pre, but it still just made it a little too bulky and cheap feeling for me. And while Im sure the case offers some impact protection if it falls, I still dont think its enough to justify it.

So, for those of you who obsess of the look and feel of your device, I say just stick with a ZAGG or some other screen protector*. Im holding onto my Seidio in case Im traveling or something and feel the need for the extra impact protection, but for daily use Ill leave it off.

*Note: Just FYI—I installed the case over my ZAGG screen protector and it seemed like it was really tough to get the Seidio to snap in place. Without the ZAGG it fits perfect and snaps right in place.
Wish it had lasted longer.
User: Leah L, Nov 23, 2009
Pros: Love its look.
Cons: Not very well made.
I really like how this cover looks on my Pre. I have the maroon one and it looks very good. The material is good too, its sturdy.

However, I only had my case on for two weeks when the case that goes over the front of the phone broke. it just wouldnt latch on anymore.. because all that is keeping it connected to the phone is this tiny bit of plastic. So it was kind of a waste... I dont want to spend another $30 just to have another front cover.
For a well-designed, minimal touchstone compatible cover...
User: John Cleveland, Dec 2, 2009
Pros: Simple, good texture, touchstone compatible, light
Cons: limits some accessories, holding clips are plastic
For me it came down to this or the body glove. This won only because of the touchstone compatibility, and Im glad I went with Seidio.

Its a very very simple case, just fasten it and go. Although, the fasteners are only small plastic clips. You can tell it was a give-take thing with the developers. If the clips were any bigger they would break easier, and if they were any thicker they would hinder movement. Its a tough phone to make a case for... period.

Many people complain about their touchstones not working. Two possible reasons. 1. They did not remove the optional foam insert from the back cover. 2. Their magnets in the pre back and touchstone are failing. (In which case, throwing both in the freezer for a while might help.. DO NOT throw the phone in the freezer!)
Admittedly, the touchstone does lose some grip on the phone, but it still charges well. A slight bump will lose the connection, but youre not supposed to have the touchstone in your car anyway. *waves finger of disapproval*

Of course, the Seidio case will not work with any clipping air vent holsters for your car.... sigh.

Finally, my big hurdle was making this work with my invisibleshield front cover. The Seido front cover WILL fit with the invisible shield on... however... you may end up marring the edge of the shield or put unnecessary strain on the plastic clips. In the end, I had to carefully cut the edges of the shield off with an exacto-knife (about 1/4 an inch from the edge. The cover snapped on perfect.

Good case.. worth the buy.
Great Case
User: Michael Pachis, Dec 6, 2009
Pros: Fits well, non-slip texture, great with holster
Cons: tabs look delicate
I bought the case and holster combo. I did have a bodygaurdz on the phone but the edges would always come up and look and feel ragedy.

The case went on easily. The tabs that hold on the case are small and I have been concerned about the comments but it seems to stay in place just fine and after several days of use I have had no problem.

I wanted to keep my screen protected so I wanted to leave the bodyguardz on the front. However the way the bodyguardz wraps around the case it prevented the tabs from clicking in to place. So I lifted the sides of the bodyguardz up and cliped them off. Voila the innocase snaped in place keeping the screen protected also.

The holster holds the pre in its innocase safely with easy access. If the tabs hold up I think this is a great product.
Mostly Satisfied
User: Brian Gackenbach, Dec 30, 2009
All in all...a nice case. Ive had this for a couple of weeks now and it functions very well, particularly when paired with a screen protector that doesnt cover the corners or sides and therefore possibly interfering with the "fit" of this case.

My only real beef with this case is that it isnt very "Pocket Friendly". By that I mean, if you wanted to carry your Pre with this case on, in your front pocket...then beware...the front part is VERY prone to popping off. I cant count the number of times, Id wiggle my hand/fingers into my front pocket to retrieve my phone and notice the front part is off or coming off (one of the four anchors popped loose). Inevitably...I was forced to start carrying this in my back pocket and now just have to be careful to remove it before I sit on anything too firm.

Ive actually given a tiny bit of consideration to applying a small pin head size dab of super glue on each of the four corners to keep this thing on while in my front pocket. Since only the back one may ever "realistically" need removal (battery swap..etc)...I may just do that yet.

In closing...its a very stylish cover...fits well around the phone...no gaps along the sides. Yes, it works with the TS charger. Takes a bit of practice getting yourself used to finding the "sweet spot" where the magnet connection is its strongest to hold the phone put...but once you do that...it does stay on the TS w/o sliding off.
Looks/Feels nice...not perfect however.
User: Brian Gackenbach, Jan 19, 2010
Pros: Looks and feel are very impressive
Cons: Front cover wont stay on.
Well...I waited till I owned this for a while before I wrote back with my review...now...Ive had it for almost 2 months and I feel I can comment with more authority.

Overall...I probably would buy this case again. It looks awesome on the phone and feels very comfortable in the hand. The matte finish provides a less slippery texture...its like having a touchstone cover on the whole device.

One pretty annoying problem I have had is that the front cover will not stay on very well. As such...it wont work well with carrying this phone in your front jean pocket, particularly if they are EVEN REMOTELY snug fitting and requiring ANY effort to reach in and retrieve the phone. Couple this with standing and sitting and the torque that it places on the cover and the front piece will continually pop off...leading me to worry about the small fragile tabs breaking off. As such...I wont carry this in my pocket. Ill instead slip it into my BACK pocket and just have had to train myself to remove it before I sat on anything hard.

If it wasnt for the problems with keeping the front cover on...Id give this a 5 star without any hesitation. It does do a pretty good job of protecting the phone too. I have had one significant drop from about 3.5 feet the tiled floor in my hospital and it slid a few feet on the front cover. I didnt notice any damage at all to the phone or marring of the case...I was impressed...I figured the case would at LEAST be scuffed or otherwise blemished, but nothing!
Could be better
User: Robert Miller, Aug 2, 2009
Pros: Great texture
Cons: Top cover doesnt securely fasten
Fitting a two-piece case to a sliding phone has got to be problematic. Im surprised that the hard plastic case I got at Best Buy accomplished the task. The problem that it was, like the phone, too slippery.

So when Seido came out with their "rubberized" case, I was willing to spend some more money to get exactly what I wanted and then, hopefully, get to return the other case to Best Buy.

The Seido case supposedly works with a Touchstone too, but since I have no Touchstone, I cant verify that.

The top cover of the case, though, sometimes pops off the phone. The tiny, tiny little fasteners which clip over the side of the phone just dont grab enough to stay on.

The case feels really nice. It doesnt always pop off, but if one were to drop the phone, Im sure it would come right off. It has come off in my hand or in my pocket a couple of times.

Im going to give it another week and perhaps try pressing down a little harder just in case its not seated. But I think they need to tweak the design a little bit more.

That said, the phone slides open and closed very well - even better than the hard plastic case which I had to "wear in" for about a week. That would bind a little bit in the beginning.

Seido is known for quality. This one falls a bit short.
Not that great(for me at least)
User: clay roberts, Aug 23, 2009
Pros: grippy feel, lightweight, easily attaches and unattaches to phone
Cons: doesnt work with touchstone perfect
Bought because it worked with the touchstone. Well, mine doesnt work perfectly, it doesnt completely magnetize to the touchstone, it sort of slides down it when i set it on there. And i have to find just the right spot for it to charge, if its not in the right spot, it will charge and un-charge, charge and un-charge, charge and un-charge, and go until i set it in just the right spot. You know the sound your pre makes when you plug it into the charger? Yea. imagine hearing that every two seconds(literally) while your phone is trying to charge on its touchstone and youve just layed down in bed. What a pain. I just take the stupid back of the case off when i want to charge. it. I suppose its better than a case that cant work with the touchstone at all though.
Better than Rocketfish
User: Stephen Clayton, Aug 25, 2009
Pros: Great Look, Improves Feel
Cons: Questionable Quality
I ordered the burgundy case and I definitely think it to be very attractive. The rubberized feel of the case is much better than cases like the one from Rocketfish (which I used to have) and I will even go so far as to say it helps to keep you from dropping the phone which can be slippery at times.

The two pieces (front and rear) snapped on without very much effort and seem to be pretty sollid. The rear piece (that covers the back) fits like a glove. However the front piece seems to be weak in certain spots, and on my phone the edges stick out farther than the sides of the rear piece which creates an inconsistent feel when running your hand down the sides of the phone or holding the phone. I dont know if all of the cases are like this, maybe I just received a defective set.

I have not tested this case with the Touchstone yet, however I will let you know my findings when I do.
OK but not OK
User: Chris Dickerson, Sep 21, 2009
Pros: Easy to apply, great protection
Cons: Doesnt work well with Touchstone
Case is easy to apply to the phone and offers great protection. My only problem is that it wont stay connected to the Touchstone. It usually slides off after about an hour of charging and is very difficult to reconnect. Maybe due to the fact that the back is hot from charging?? I usually have to end up plugging it in at 1am because I get tired of hearing the notification chime for charging/not charging.
good case but...
User: Vero R, Oct 3, 2009
Pros: slim, smooth, not bulky and provides good protection
Cons: snaps break off easily, did not work with my touchstone
I bought this case about 2-3 months ago and the little snaps that hold the case and the phone together broke off easily within the first month of usage. I kept using it until most broke off. I recently bought the touchstone charger and Im sad to say this case was not working with the touchstone. I love how thin and smooth this case is but I dont know if I would get another one.
too fragile
User: Chaely Chartier, Oct 15, 2009
Pros: very slim profile, improves grasp on phone, fits perfectly
Cons: incredibly fragile
I pretty much love everything about the case and holster except that the tabs on the front ring of the case broke off after about 2 weeks of regular use. Without that part the holster screws up my screen protector, so thats a bummer.
Looks nice but doesnt last too long
User: Melanie JOnes, Oct 28, 2009
The case feels really nice and doesnt disrupt the nice appearance of the Pre, but its fit isnt so great (although I have the phantom skins on underneath). Mine also broke pretty quickly because the clips are pretty small.

Generally though, I really like the case but wouldnt pay to replace my old one when it broke, $30 is too much for the product.
its cool but doesnt last long
User: rene lopez, Nov 3, 2009
Pros: def makes the palm pre look more like a buisness phone rather than something your little sister would use at middle school
Cons: little clasps on the side of the case to hold it on wear down
I know the phone is hard to make a case for so Im not goin to complain too much but after 2 months mine wont stay on anymore because the little clips on the side are made of plastic and wear down after awhile. thats too bad because I def liked the way it looks when I had it on. now its just sitting in a drawer :(
Not working with Touchstone
User: Scott Taulbee, Nov 10, 2009
Pros: Wonderful material feel
Cons: Not working with touchstone
I purchased this case after having a close-call with a drop. Love the feel of the case, a soft velvety-like rubber. Problem is the case does not work with my Touchstone at all. Ive spent the good part of an hour trying to get things lined up, and ensured I removed the spacer that came with the case.

Nice little case, but dont get it if you need to use a Touchstone.
Fits well - didnt last long
User: David Gates, Dec 10, 2009
Pros: Looks and feels great, doesnt add bulk to the phone
Cons: not very sturdy
It adds very little to the size of the phone, and appears to be a natural extension of it. And in over 2 months of use, I have yet to get a scratch on it. However, the small tabs that hold the case on the phone are VERY easily snapped off. If you have to remove the case to replace battery, etc. be extremely careful. Once one tab snaps off, the case is of little use as it wont stay on the phone.
Love/hate with case
User: Chris Z, Dec 14, 2009
Pros: Feel, fit, weight
Cons: Tabs break easily
This is a nice Pre case. It is fairly thin, although it still makes the Pre a little bulkier than it already is in terms of thickness. The best part about this case is it makes the Pre MUCH easier to handle the case has a slightly rubbery feel which provides a much more secure grip of the phone and makes the screen easier to slide open. The case fits well on the phone. However, the little tabs that hold the case on the phone break very easily, so while this case may provide a little extra protection during a fall, it doesnt take much to break a tab so that the case doesnt have a secure fit anymore.
Great case, but doesnt last. Redesign necessary
User: Mike Godzwa, Dec 29, 2009
Pros: Love the look and feel, super thin & light, works with Touchstone
Cons: Small plastic fasteners break far too easily!
I had a Seido case for my Centro and loved it, so when they released this version for the Pre I bought it as soon as it was available. The first one I had worked great--for 3 months. After normal use, without a single drop, the a tab on the front section failed. Seido was great in sending me a replacement right away, but that failed after 3 weeks! This time I asked for a refund, but its not going to happen. I guess Ill just keep asking for replacements until my 6 month warranty expires.
Flimsy case breaks easily
User: howie k, Jan 1, 2010
Pros: light, works w touchstone.
Cons: Flimsy, Breaks easily
I originally gave this case 5 stars. About a month after getting it, the fine teeth that hold the front part of the case to the PRE failed, and now only the back of the case works. I need to keep using the back of the case so that it fits with the innocase holster, but now this half-case is easily removed so that the PRE sits better on the touchstone.

This result still works for me, and is still the best I can find, but if I had to do it over I might just have bought the holster without the case. I am still waiting for SENA case to step up to the plate and make a PRE Leatherskin case.
Great case, until it broke
User: Ryan Zech, Jan 16, 2010
Pros: Touchstone charging, Quality Look, Easier to Grip
Cons: Tabs Break Off
I really was happy with my case when it arrived. I had a blue case, and the color was muted, which gave it a professional look. I was amazed that the touchstone worked through the case.

I used this case for a little over a month until one night when I was slipping my phone into my jacket pocket, I noticed the top half of the case was loose. I found that two of the tabs used to attach it to the phone had broken off. I had not dropped the phone or even bumped it that day. The phone spent most of the day in my jacket pocket, which wasnt tight and there was nothing else in there. Not sure what happened.

Other than this problem, the case kept the professional look of the phone and made it easier to grip (than the factorys slick plastic). It was very easy to install. I didnt believe that it would charge on the touchstone, but was pleasantly surprised when it did, but admittedly it does require one to perfectly place it on the touchstone as the magnets are not strong enough to pull the pre into place (like it does without a case).

Overall, I will probably buy another one of these cases if no one else comes out with a touchstone compatible pre case.
Great until it broke
User: happy5 happy5, Feb 21, 2010
Pros: Looks good, simple to install, works with Touchstone
Cons: Does not protect phone well, prone to breaking
Bought this case out of necessity, as there are no clear choices for the Pre when it comes to cases - the bad thing about slider phones.

It hooked up well the first time I tried it, and the phone looked great. The case is not that strong, so if you let the phone drop it might not protect much.

I was happy with it until today, after having it for over a month, when the plastic tab of the front case snapped off. The front part of the case now comes off easily, and there is no force on earth that can put that snap on case back in (unless I glue it, not a good idea). The material is cheap, so I shouldnt have expected much.
strike 2, the touch stone trip up this case
User: Felipe Garcia, Aug 4, 2009
Pros: doesnt add much weight to the pre
Cons: touchstone
I purchased this case a couple of weeks ago, and had a couple of issues. the top would not stay on and it was a pain to get the pre with this case to stay on the touchstone charging. and once you got it on, it would slip if you started getting notifications.

posted on the forum, and seidio sent me a new model. I got this yesterday.

the top no longer pop off, but the touchstone issue is still there. they should of just but a hole in the back for the touchstone.

again my pre goes un-cased, unless you consider ,y front pocket a case.
nah
User: kliffe kliffe, Aug 18, 2009
Pros: protects phone
Cons: should read works occasionally with touchstone
ive been through two of these from seidio. same thing...doesnt always work. i gave it a two beacuse im an avid touchstone user..waiting for refund..for a bit of cover went with uniqueskins and the regular clip with audio port.
Love the look. Did not fit.
User: Joe Wiese, Aug 19, 2009
Pros: Great look. Sleek
Cons: Did not fit on my pre. ONe side would not snap on.
As I summed up. The lower left hand side of the top part of the case would not snap on my Pre. I kept the case because I actually used a very small bit of epoxy to glue the case on. Fortunately the case looks great but if it were not for me gluing it on, it would be worthless to me.
Looks great! Doesnt work with touchstone
User: Lesley H, Aug 30, 2009
Pros: Fits like a glove and looks great!
Cons: Doesnt work with touchstone
I love this case! Except it doesnt work with the touchstone. It keeps "connecting to the touchstone, making the connection sound everytime. sometimes it wont stop ringing.
Broke after 1 month
User: KerryAnn Parsons, Oct 13, 2009
Pros: protects phone well
Cons: One of clips broke after 1 month of service
Unsure if there is a warranty on this case, but after paying $30, I expected it to last month than 1 month.
Ok, but looks cheap and doesnt work well with touchstone
User: Will D, Oct 18, 2009
Pros: Protects phone from damage if dropped
Cons: Does not work well with touchstone, makes phone look like its cheap
I bought this case in the hopes that it would maintain the sleek look of the pre while providing protection against shock and/or scratches from being dropped.

The reality is that this case makes your phone look cheap, and it doesnt stay on the phone very well.

I also bought this case because it was supposedly compatible with the touchstone... yeah, no. The magnet engages, and it says charging for a second or two, and then it goes back and forth between charging and not charging... Something similar to what would happen if you sat there placing and then removing the phone from the touchstone every other second... very aggravating to say the least.

I would not purchase this product again.
Nice - but doesnt charge with touchstone
User: J Rockerfeller, Oct 18, 2009
Pros: Light weight, no bulk
Cons: Not touchstone compatible
Its great if you just want a case to protect the pre but dont expect it to charge.
Hard to say I dont like it
User: Rory Sanders, Oct 22, 2009
Pros: makes the phone more solid
Cons: front piece keeps poping off. makes top row of the keyboard even harder to type with
I make more misskeys with the top row now. The front piece keeps popping off. and I noticed after putting it on that the rear is not snugg, like it stretched out, makes cracking noise. I like the way it feels though, its hard to say I dont like it, but if the case wont even stay on, how to do I keep it? Can I send it back?
Good for scratch protection, not much else
User: Steven Grimm, Oct 30, 2009
Pros: Fits snugly on the Pre protects against scratches
Cons: One slight bump and it falls apart harder to get at USB port
This seemed like a well-made product at first glance it fit snugly on my Pre and felt good in the hand. It does a good job of protecting the sides and back of the Pre from scratches

But then I accidentally dropped my Pre. Not very hard or from very high, but both halves of the Innocase flew off immediately and the Pres battery cover came off the back of the phone. When I put it back together the Pre was apparently undamaged, but I saw that two of the little plastic tabs that hold the Innocase in place had snapped off in the impact. A third tab just came off a few minutes ago (a few days after the drop), probably weakened by the impact, rendering the product completely useless.

I think I will try a different brand of cover next if this cant even hold itself together after one moderate drop, its not worth the money.

Oh, about the Touchstone: with this cover on you do have to be a bit careful about how you position the phone on the Touchstone, but I actually found that replacing my initial Touchstone with a new one made the "charge, no-charge, charge, no-charge every few seconds" problem pretty much go away. Still, having this case on does reduce the utility of the Touchstone.
breaks easily
User: Rachel Rubin, Nov 12, 2009
I have dropped the phone on occassion and the case has broken TWICE. The tiny clips that snap in place near each corner have broken off on each of two cases I have ordered. Flimsy.
Does not last
User: Lou Good, Dec 6, 2009
Pros: -
Cons: The tabs that hold the case on break off.
Sorry but:
1. It will work with Touchstone but after a few mornings of finding it has slipped overnight and was not fully charged, I stopped using the Touchstone.

2. The tabs that hold it on the phone break off.

I wish these issues could be fixed as my wife and I both liked the case and now they are not usable after about five months.
Looks great but doesnt last
User: David Gates, Jan 1, 2010
Pros: Fits well, very attractive
Cons: Clips break easily
I bought this case and was extremely please until the first time I tried to remove it to access the battery. 2 of the clips that hold the case to the phone broke. Had I been VERY careful I could have removed it by pulling outward, then off. The company replaced it for free, no questions asked. 2 days after putting on the replacement I dropped the phone from a height of about 2 feet. One clip broke off the top half of the case, one broke off of the bottom. WAY too fragile for this price. Would not recommend.
Good...for awhile.
User: Jamie S, Jan 8, 2010
Pros: Made pre easier to handle.
Cons: Can be tricky to place on Touchstone. Broke after 3 mos.
The thing I liked most about this case was it made the phone easier to handle and less slippery. Now that the case is broken, I realize how much it did help. Unfortunately the case lasted a mere 3 months before one of the tiny plastic clips broke off and rendered it useless.

Im not exactly sure how much this case even protected my pre. I didnt drop the phone while I had it on, but I imagine it might soften the blow. And it was kind of annoying sometimes to place on the Touchstone. You have to get it just right.

For over $20, its just not worth it for the short life span. Ill be looking for another type of case.
great then horrible
User: jason reeves, Jan 14, 2010
I loved this case at first, it feels nice, protects the phone, then about a month or two the case just fell of the back side when I pulled it out of my pocket. Yup, one of the tabs broke. It stayed like that (with one broken tab) for about a week, then it just became junk. I will not waste my money on buying another.
Fragile Design
User: steve anderson, Jan 18, 2010
Pros: sleek look while new
Cons: fragile design
Have had the Seidio Innocase for about 2 months. The Seidio Inncocase is held to the phone by a very small lip on the four corners of each half of the case. After 2 months three of the eight lips have chipped off. When this case was new, the feel and look was sleek. After realizing how fragile it is from just being slid in and out of your pocket for two months, I am rather disappointed. For materials this thin, the overhanging lip should have been steel reinforced.
Not so good
User: Keegan Carter, Jan 28, 2010
Pros: feels very nice, good material
Cons: broke way to easily
Iv had the bottom portion of this case for 5 weeks and the top only lasted about 2-3. it seems to be a common problem that the clips break off...

right now i have tape holding the back on because 1 of the 3 micro clips broke and it wont stay on...

good design it just needs some more work
Good case, but doesnt last
User: Reed Richards, Feb 2, 2010
Pros: Best hard case out there, works with Touchstone
Cons: Breaks within a couple of months, expensive
Before I purchased this I got bought several cases from eBay for under $5. By far the Innocase is much better than the eBay knock offs (better feel, sturdier, display is optimized), but like everyone else, my tabs broke and it became useless. This happened with all of my eBay cases within a month and at least the Innocase lasted or 4 months before this happened.

The good news is that as long as you purchased from an "Authorized Seidio Reseller", you can get a replacement from Seidio. Im doing that, so well see how long the new one lasts.

BTW - I have a touchstone and I found no issues with it connecting to mine and charging.
Quality?
User: c h, Feb 5, 2010
Pros: Easy application, nice feel, no bulk
Cons: Not durable
Easy application, nice feel, no bulk
Not durable
Broke after 6 months
User: Melissa Overhiser, Feb 11, 2010
Pros: -
Cons: little tiny fragile plastic "hook" holds it to the phone
This case was great. It was easier to handle then the slick plastic phone alone. It did help with the wiggle. But...after 6 months of relatively light abuse, the tiny top cover hook (that held the cover to the phone) on the right bottom side broke. Im not willing to buy two covers a year and will be looking into something with a better design.
Back Cover
User: Patrick Cuozzo, Feb 19, 2010
Pros: slim and slides great
Cons: keeps coming off
back cover keeps un snapping from the Pre. have returned and re ordered 2 time still same problem.
Wears out way too fast
User: Clint Hoffman, Feb 24, 2010
Pros: Works with Touchstone & Fantastic feel to it.
Cons: Tabs wear out/break off in a little over 2 months
Great little product, but the tabs wore out/broke off on the back side cover, keyboard section.

At a little over the 2 months mark, I noticed when the phone was closed, the gap looked a little uneven at the bottom right side of the pone, but didnt really pay attention. Maybe I should have.
About 2 weeks later the other tab wore out/broke off.

For the last 2 1/2 months Ive been using the phone with just the front cover. Mainly because its easier to grip the phone with it on. Take the front cover off and the darn Pre is like a wet bar of soap.
Great...until the clips break
User: Eric G, Mar 3, 2010
Pros: Looks great, protects phone
Cons: Clips are weak and break easily
I had one for a few months and it was great, until the clips kept breaking. Sedio is good about sending you replacements, but after my 3rd replacement in 2 months I just didnt want to deal with it anymore.
At least it looks good
User: Antonio Rodriguez, Mar 7, 2010
Pros: Looks good, almost as if part of the phone itself
Cons: Too weak, not as good with the Touchstone as advertised
The main reason that I got this case was because they touted the Touchstone compatibility. In reality, there was very little TS compatibility. It would rarely hold properly when placed on a TS, and using it on the TS in my car was definitely impossible, so I ended up drilling the back cover to really make it compatible with my TS. Annoying, but not a deal breaker.

The deal breaker is the weak plastic tabs that keep the case fastened to the phone. They break off too easily. My Innocase lasted about six weeks before they broke off. Paying $30 for a case that lasted about a month and a half? Not cool.
Good, but...
User: Leo Herzog, Mar 10, 2010
This case was absolutely perfect... for a week. After taking it off twice to get to the battery, the tabs broke off (and I was gentle). Now the case barely stay on, and Im stuck looking for another solution. This is 15 cents worth of plastic, and it cost $30. A little excessive.
keeps popping off
User: ALISHA HUNT, Jul 26, 2009
The piece that fits around the front of the phone keeps popping off. It is good for some extra grip. Its kind of a hard phone to fit a case on anyway. It does work with my touchstone like it says.
Not at all what I expected
User: Erica Marchie, Aug 5, 2009
Pros: looks good, light, doesnt add size/weight
Cons: Not a good fit at all
The case grip if you will on the left hand side pushes my volume button down. The top and bottom dont really fit together and when it is slid up it pushes against the top part of the phone.. kind of hard to explain, but it is causing friction when sliding up, also, rubbing on my charging cord when plugged in. I am using just the back part now which makes it look like I am missing part of my phone. Oh, it did fit a little better, but I put the plastic screen protector on and now the cover wont fit over the plastic. For something that was made for the Pre, it didnt seem to fit like it should have. I am still shopping for another. Bummed.
I agree w/above: Epic Fail!
User: Gary Greenhoe, Aug 10, 2009
The top of the case flexes and pops off when in use. There are creaky noises while in use that make the Pre feel really cheap.
Mine popped off several times...so I simply removed it. Epic Fail!
Great case if you dont use the Touchstone
User: Rob Robinson, Aug 13, 2009
Pros: Sturdy, fits well, makes the Pre feel solid
Cons: Despite claims, it does not work consistently with the Touchstone
Great case if you dont use the Touchstone.
Sturdy, fits well, makes the Pre feel solid.
Despite claims, it does not work consistently with the Touchstone.
Interferes with Touchstone
User: Chad Wright, Aug 26, 2009
Pros: Nice look, feel, and fit.
Cons: Reduces the touchstone magnetism. Will barely stay on the touchstone.
I loved the way the case fits and feels, but it interfered with the touchstone enough, that it was difficult to get it in the right position to charge. Walking past the counter was enough to knock the phone out of position, and stop the charge.
Love the look Cant use it -Touchstone
User: Mick Prescott, Sep 2, 2009
Pros: Feels great, I wish I could use it
Cons: Touchstone will not work
Very nice looking case. Snaps on easy and feels great. Unfortunately, I cant use it. Even with the "spacer" removed and the success others have had with using touchstone, I was unable to get it to work.
WASTE OF TIME
User: John Smith, Sep 12, 2009
Great case but does not work with touchstone charger. I was very disappointed when i left my palm pre with the case on the touchstone charger all night and when i woke up, my phone was dead. The phone sticks to the touchstone, it just doesnt recognize its being charged.
When phone came to crash, Elvis left the building.
User: Rob Poe, Sep 20, 2009
Pros: Looks cool.
Cons: Doesnt really protect phone much. No Touchstone.
Was walking today and I hit a hole in the grass - felt my knee going a way it shouldnt go, so I jumped. The phone fell from my hand, and to my horror hit the driveway (which I was walking to). The case (both pieces) leapt off the phone on the first impact, and then the phone took an unprotected impact on the ground.

Now, Ive never dropped this phone this badly - and I have a small crack @ the USB cover. Id planned on taking the phone in to have it warranty replaced, but now there are 4-5 large scratches on the side of the screen (same side as USB) UNDERNEATH where this cover is supposed to go. Now I can kiss the warranty replacement goodbye and will have to go to Asurion.

Also, the tabs on the cover broke off, so this $30 case is worthless now.

Couldnt really use the Touchstone (as said before).
Nice attempt but overall a failure
User: Keith Lockhart, Sep 23, 2009
Pros: Will reduce the slider wobble
Cons: Cheap plastic tabs, touchstone compatability varies
When I first bought this case, I was thrilled. It installed easily and reduced the wobble of the phone. However, after 2 months with the case, Im very disappointed.

The first issue I started having with this case was with the so-called Touchstone compatability. I found that it was always a matter of getting the device on the Touchstone just right in order to get the phone to charge. If I didnt get it right, the phone would cycle between charging and not charging. This was, to say the least, very annoying.

The other issue I have with this case are the small plastic tabs that hold the case to the phone. I have already broken one of the tabs off and now the front piece will no longer stay on the phone. This has rendered the case useless.

I was initially really impressed with this case but now, not so much.
Expect to buy a new one every couple weeks
User: Brian Vogelsinger, Oct 5, 2009
Been through two of these cases now. The little tabs that hold the cover on break VERY EASILY. First one had a tab break within a week with a drop on CARPET. Second case (replaced by Amazon), lasted 2 weeks before a tab broke off without any drops. My phone was in PERFECT condition at the point the second case broke and the following weekend without any case to protect it a friend of mine dropped it on a concrete driveway putting two chips in the screen plastic and a crack in the side of the screen. AWESOME. I do NOT recommend this case.
Read Before You Buy
User: Carl van der Horst, Oct 7, 2009
Pros: -
Cons: Strength of grip with the Touchstone.
I read the reviews and thought this was the perfect product for me (combined with the belt clip). The back plate snapped on securley and was never an issue. The front plate was a bit of a pain to install - but not a deal breaker.

The Pre would not rest securley on either of my touchstones. If you left it there for an extended period it would finally slip to the point where it would rotate between charging and not charging every 2 seconds and chime with the status change. After about a months ownership, one of the TINY teeth that help the front plate on gave out and will not hold the faceplate on. One I removed the back plate and put the unit on the touchstone, I was surprised how much stronger the grip was with the magnet. Anyways - food for thought if you are considering this one.
Two broken copies and no touchstone compatibility
User: Mike Delaney, Oct 28, 2009
Pros: When affixed feels safe and solid.
Cons: No touchstone. The attachment tab broke in the same spot twice.
I liked this product for the short period of time that it remained affixed to my phone... but, even then I had misgivings b/c of the lack of touchstone compatibility.

The first one I received was broken in the manufacturers box. Looking at the screen right side up, the top right tab that holds the top plate on was snapped off.

Precentral was excellent about providing a new copy at no additional charge to me.

The new copy worked for a couple weeks and then the tab broke off in the same place. I now only have the back plate on and am not really sure what to do at this point.
dont buy it, the tabs will break off
User: b letwin, Nov 2, 2009
Pros: thin flexible
Cons: The tabs on 2 out of 3 cases I purchased are broken after 50 days
The tabs that hold the case on the phone have broken off on 2 of the 3 cases I purchased in September, past the 30 day return period. The case didnt work very well with the touchstone. While it did allow charging using the touchstone, the phone was only weakly held in place on the touchstone.
So Fragile, I wanted to love it...
User: Michael Desmarest, Nov 13, 2009
Pros: Nice design, good feel
Cons: Very fragile, and very iffy with touchstone
I wanted very much to love this case, so much so I bought a second one after the first one broke within 3 weeks. I have never dropped my pre but am a fanatic about keeping it new. I noticed the clips on this case start to wear down and break after 3 weeks, I figured I would buy a second one thinking maybe I did something to damage it. 3 weeks later again, clips started to snap and the case basically fell off. Combine this with this case making touchstone docking do one of 2 things, either not dock or slide down the touchstone unless it was propped up. PLease redesign this case, LOve the feel love the design but the execution especially for $30 dollars leaves much to be desired
too expensive to break so easily
User: dan sparrow, Nov 23, 2009
Pros: looks/ feels nice
Cons: Tiny supports around outside to hold it in, BARELY works with touchstone
Supports around the side snapped in 2 days from swapping a battery. Seidio send new once that has same issue. Both times the top left of my pre lost support and it just kind of flops there loosely. WEAK! too much money for a case to get one with weak supports. Also touchstone barely locks in. magnents line up but with the tap of my desk or any area around the stone, it falls and discontinues charging. Seidio wont answer emails regarding an exchange/swap/refund even tho their policy states covered for 180 days!!! Beware!

Short life span
User: Derek Beiningen, Nov 24, 2009
I bought two of these for me and my wife. We got about 2 months of use before the tabs that secure the case around the phone broke. Dirt will build up on the screen by the case edge so you want to take it off to clean it. Your tabs will break. If you dont ever take it off or drop your phone then you will probably be fine. My wifes top case broke open.
Otherwise as advertised.
tabs will break off, buyer beware
User: david suycott, Dec 1, 2009
Pros: great feel and size
Cons: small tabs break very easy
both my wife and i had the same experience with these. install was easy, felt great and worked great for about two or so weeks until the very small plastic tabs that hold the casing to the phone snapped off one by one rendering the case useless. dont buy until they fix this design flaw.
Piece of junk!
User: Scott Rolfson, Dec 2, 2009
Pros: None
Cons: Tabs break off too easily
I bought four of these for the four Palm Pres in my family and the first two broke within a few days of normal use. The pres werent dropped, these broke just sliding open the keyboard. I contacted the Mfg and they resent two new face plates, but those broke just using the phone normally. All four of them have broken within 2 weeks of normal use. Do not buy this product. It is a piece of junk for $30.
Good IF it would last longer!
User: Todd Graves, Dec 8, 2009
Pros: Fits and Protects the Pre
Cons: Flimsy plastic tips that hold it on the Pre break VERY easy
I would love this product IF Seidio would stand behind it and replace it when the plactic tips break off. In 5 months I am on my third case! And with shipping for each one $$$ adds up quickly! So IF you insist on ordering this case then do yourself a favor purchase more than one for backup and save yourself the shipping charges. Personally, Im done buying this case because pretty soon I couldve replaced my Pre for a brand new one with the money I have spent on these cases! Goon give the Body Glove case a try.
Product
User: Clifton McEachin, Dec 9, 2009
Pros: it looks nice on the phone
Cons: Don"t last
I have purhcased the case for my phone and within 3 days of receiving the case, the snaps broke. I contacted pre-central and I was impressed with their customer service. They sent me a new case, but once AGAIN within 3 days it broke again. I just placed both cases in a box and returned to pre-central.
Breaks off easily, too expensive for what its worth
User: Veronica Ramirez, Dec 29, 2009
Looks great for about a month if youre really lucky. Then the flimsy snap-ons start breaking off rendering your case useless. And it is NOT compatible with the Touchstone. This product is way too expensive for the little time you will be able to use it. Returning it is a hassle and the one they send you will break off just as easily. DO NOT BUY.
Cheap
User: Wut Lol, Jan 13, 2010
Pros: Very slim case
Cons: Plastic tabs suck
The tabs on the top half of the case broke within the first 2 weeks of use. As others have stated, I was initially impressed with the case, but that did not last long. Back to the drawing board Seido.
buyer beware
User: d s, Jan 15, 2010
the attaching tabs will break in a couple of weeks...been through two of these cases. Poor design buyer-beware
This case broke 3 times
User: John Laws, Jan 17, 2010
Pros: Looks Very Nice
Cons: Very Cheap materials
Heres why Im disappointed in this innocase. Ive been through 2 of them already and need to get a third. Im not rough on the phone by any stretch of the term, but the tab on one side of this case keeps breaking which renders my case insecure and flops off of my phone. I imagine this is a common occurrance for this phone because they sent me a replacement 2 times with no questions asked. I wish they would get it right because Im getting sick of asking for a new one.
Tabs break continually
User: Joel Robertson, Feb 24, 2010
Pros: Looks great installed
Cons: Tabs break off, making case unusable
Bought this case for my wife. After 3 weeks, two tabs broke off the top-portion of the case. I sent it back and received a brand new case within a week, however, after only one week another tab broke off the top-portion again. I would NOT recommend this case.
GARBAGE
User: kevin munley, Mar 8, 2010
Pros: nothing
Cons: clips break in not even 24 hours
PLEASE do not waste your money on this or give Seidio money for anything. My girlfriend is on her FIFTH one because it was a present and therefore the 30 day money back thing expired when it broke 24 hours after putting it on her pre. Seidio will only replace it after responding to your claim a week after. All this is is a piece of plactic junk guaranteed to break. It also doesnt stay on the touchstone whatsoever...buy a cheap $5 one off of ebay if you must, but The pre was not designed for use with a clunky case, this product is a piece of $30 plastic garbage.
